Who we are

The Seattle Rust User Group is a gathering of friendly folks from the greater Seattle area interested in the Rust programming language. Typically we meet once a month and host presentations, collaborate on personal projects, and learn new techniques from one another.

We typically meet the 3rd Thursday of every month from 6:00–8:00 PM PT, except for November and December, where we meet on the 2nd Thursday due to holidays.

You can join us in-person (details in our Meetup link ↗) or online (join link provided in our Discord server’s #meetup channel when the meeting starts).

Between meetings we chat on Discord — and come say hi.

Speakers wanted

Give a talk

We're always looking for speakers, at every skill level. The 20–40 minute format works best, and we're open to workshops and longer sessions too. We welcome:

  • A Rust project you're working on
  • Tips on Rust tooling or libraries you know well
  • A walk-through of existing material or a video
  • Lightning talks — short and sweet

Find us on Discord or Meetup to pitch an idea, and please read the Rust Code of Conduct before coming — let's make the meetup great for everyone.
